I have several clients now who are great, and one who is driving me up a wall by repeatedly changing her mind on things that are either meaningless, or I had it done better to start with. Oy.

Ok, Focus on the positive!!

(*hugs*) I get a few of those in my business too. I have one who apparently has very low self-esteem and who waffles back and forth all the time... "I like that, but is it RIGHT? What do you think? I dunno..."

Oh yes, I know that sort of client. My experience is that they usually end up blaming you for everything. Oy indeed.

Can you fire the client?

Or draw some kind of line in the relationship sand such that things will be more sane on your side of the line?

Wex: They're a longstanding customer, and generally worth the trouble. They are paying me by the hour and know that there is such a thing as turnaround time. It's just sad to see them waffling around and wasting the company's money on multiple edits and silly questions, when the project could go so much smoother.

Oh no, she's lovely!! It's a company I've been with for quite some time, we just have to break in a new Marcom person :)

In this case I do, it's just still annoying to have my time wasted on non-issues, and to see them wasting money asking me to do meaningless things. I definitely try to help by giving my recommendations up front, but in the end "the customer is always right".
